Hi, I'm Mandi, the creative force behind Mandi P Designs. I wanted to take a moment to share with you, my journey in launching my small business in May 2022.
Have you ever felt the need for a change in your life? That's exactly how I felt not too long ago. I craved a sense of purpose and fulfilment, something I wasn't receiving from my current job. I was left yearning for something more. So, I took a leap of faith and decided to quit my job. Scary? Yes. Exciting? Absolutely!
Why Quit?
Now, you might be wondering, why on earth would someone quit a stable job? Well, sometimes you just have to follow your passion, even if it means taking a risk. I wanted to do something that truly sparked joy in my life, something that allowed me to express my creativity.
Embracing the Creative Side
Ok, so I've always been a creative person and love learning new crafts but after leaving the corporate world, it allowed me to fully embrace my creative side. That's when I discovered Polymer Clay. My days are now filled with colours, textures and the joy of creating something beautiful from scratch.
Polymer clay might seem like a simple material, but let me tell you, it's a world of endless possibilities. I started experimenting with clay, moulding it into different shapes and forms. It was like therapy for my soul. And as I delved deeper into this artistic journey, Mandi P Designs was born.
The Birth of Mandi P Designs
Mandi P Designs is not just a brand; it's a reflection of my passion and creativity. Through my designs, I aim to bring joy and uniqueness into people's lives. Each piece is carefully handcrafted with love and attention to detail. The feeling of seeing someone's face light up when they receive one of my creations is priceless.
Challenges and Triumphs
Starting a creative business is not without its challenges. There were moments of self-doubt and setbacks along the way but there were learnings in each obstacle I faced. I was hard on myself (I can be my own worst enemy sometimes). After a few trial and errors, I completed my very first pair of earrings. I fell in love with the process and the result, so I created an entire collection (pictured). I was so proud of this collection, that it became my mission to create pieces that were unique and comfortable to wear. I love exploring the endless possibilities of polymer clay & transforming it into statement pieces that I would be very proud to wear. That being said, I am able to create one of a kind pieces as no two pieces are exactly the same.
